I have been playing Free Cell for quite a few years going through several models made by Radica. I am a69-year-old grandmother and like to keep my mind busy. My Free Cell goes everywhere with me, i.e. doctor's office, restaurants, traveling, etc. The lighted screen also makes it easy for me to play in bed at night when I can't sleep. A few months ago my game started acting up after two or three years and I searched all the local stores trying to find another one but with no luck. When I went to sit with my aunt in the hospital last month (naturally carrying my Free Cell), a neighbor of hers who was also visiting her saw it and told me that she also plays it. I told her my problem about trying to find another one. She told me that she had seen them on Amazon. I ordered seven of them, one for her, one for another friend, and five for me. I figured that five would last me for quite a few years. I get a lot of ribbing from my family about my "security blanket" but I don't care. I've told them that they are to bury a Free Cell with me when I die. LOL Thank you, Amazon.Well I was just asked if I was over 13 and sadly or not so sadly I had to answer yes. I got hooked on Freecell several years ago and this product is just the thing for an old diehard like me. I particularly like this model because of the big screen and it is back lit. Having a back light means that I can continue to play after I turn out the lights at night but still am not sleepy enough to fall asleep. The numbers are large enough for me to see without my glasses and the key pad is comfortable to hold for extended periods. For those of you who still prefer a little challenge this game keeps score so you can keep trying for that 100%. I got to about 93 or 94% at one time before I decided to play the game just for the fun of it and gave up on looking at the score.I bought for my Grandpa. He loves this game. I bought for him 11 years ago and his finally broke. He says it looks brand new and is working great.I have always loved to play FreeCell on my computer. I purchased this hand held FreeCell game to play while I was recuperating from major surgery in February. Five months later I am still playing with this one and hardly ever play it on my computer anymore. It is very sturdy, the screen is lit, it turns off automatically, and when you turn it back on it returns to the game you were playing. There is sound, but I keep that turned off until the winning move so I can hear the "happy" ding dinging of winning!! This is my first hand held game and it did take me a few days to get used to it (no red or black cards like the computer). I'm 58 and think this game helps keep my mind active and sharp. I've only had to change the batteries once. Super product!!I thoroughly enjoy this free cell game. I use it in the car (when someone else is driving) and I use it in the house during commercials or just to relax. I also take it everywhere with me so I can use it while I am waiting for dr. appointments, waiting at the hair salon and just waiting for people. I use it to calm me down in the evenings and get ready for bed. I have given this game to all my female relatives (and some of their husbands grab them and use them too. It is a wonderful way to keep your mind working. I DO read a lot of books too, but the Free Cell game keeps me busy while there are noises around--- riding in the car, or waiting for appointments, or waiting for friends, etc.I was lost when my old "Big Screen Free Cell" game died. I tried to find it locally, but none of the stores carried it anymore. I was amazed when I found this game on Amazon, as this was the first time I looked there for anything.Big Screen Free Cell has many good features, two of it's best features are that the card numbers are large enough to read and it is lighted so I can play it in bed, in the dark. I have trouble sleeping at night and putting on a light to read is out of the question. . . so this game is ideal for me. Besides being a fun, challanging game, it also keeps my mind working, by trying to keep a high percentage score.Thank you Amazon, I will look for other things here.I had one for years and it pooped out on me a few months ago. I wanted another one because I keep it in my car and when I have to wait for an appointment, etc. It keeps me occupied!I got this for my mom, who is in her 80s. While she loved Freecell as a game and found this game reasonably playable (albeit a little difficult to manipulate the cards), she eventually gave it back to me because it was just too hard on her eyes. Her vision is fine for someone of her age, but anyone in their 80s is going to have some issues with lack of contrast and small details. All in all, not a bad little game, but make sure you either have a good magnification in your bifocals or have mag lenses to wear while using it. That, or be under 25 ;-)
