The holder is good for sideways view. You do constantly have to adjust your mirror because it moves when you're putting the phone on there. Not really a big issue. My issue is that I needed the holder to hold the phone straight up and the stem is no long enough. Also, because the stem is not long enough, the only way to see your phone straight up is putting the holder on top side of the phone but then it squishes the volume and power buttons. I have a Samsung 21 ultra. I wish I would've seen a review like mine. I definitely would not have purchased it. It doesn't suit my needs.This is a great invention and set up however, the latches that hold itself onto the rearview mirror NEED TO BE TIGHTER - its too big for my rear view mirror - Toyota Corolla car. That shouldn't happen as it should be made to CLAMP DOWN WITH A BETTER GRIP BUT IT DOESN'T - so I am having to place rubber bands to keep it clamped onto the mirror and the loosens makes my phone jiggle jiggle jiggle, making it hard to read maps and use as a dash cam. I have to keep readjusting it to snap in place better but I keep trying and keeping using rubber bands. I'ms sure it might do better on a LARGER REAR VIEW MIRROR -I like just wish my mirror didn’t shake around with itHad a hard time placing it on the car rear view mirror. Finally got it installed. Not as expected.I bought this phone mount because other phone mounts I had tried didn't work for me. In my vehicle, I put a window screen up in my front window when I park so the phone mount that sticks to the glass gets in the way and has to be removed every time. After a while, the phone mount doesn't stick really well after being removed from the glass several times. The phone mount that plugs into the vent covers the vent totally and keeps air from coming out the vent correctly. I am extremely happy with the phone mount that clips onto the mirror...it rotates allowing the phone to be placed up and down or side by side while charging.If you want to use it for GPS is ok, but if you want to use if for video recording holder, you will see shaky video.
