the gripping arms on this are flimsy and rattle around a lot, with a small amount of rubber on the arms that is supposed to keep your phone immobile... when i tried this with my phone i found that my phone would not fit inside the holder because the protective case i had on it would not fit into the holder, it was simply too wide... i did try several other phones, those without cases and simple shell cases, and none would fit properly into the holder, all has some degree of "rattling" in the holderand i could see someones phone bouncing out of the holder if they hit a good bump in the road as some were that loosethe ball joint connecting the holder portion of the device and the vent clip is firm and does not move easily which is both good and bad as it would provide stability but makes it hard for making quick adjustments to the jointnot recommended
